Who manufactures the Cupra Formentor?

The Cupra is manufactured by the Volkswagen Group – a German automotive manufacturer headquartered in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany. 



Is Cupra owned by Seat?

No. Cupra is not owned by Seat. Cupra is the performance offshoot of Spanish mainstream carmaker, Seat. Since 1996, various Seat road cars carried the Cupra nameplate, but Cupra is now a standalone brand. 

How much is the Cupra Formentor in Australia?

The Cupra Formentor line-up consists of four different variants. The range kicks off with the Cupra Formentor V all-wheel drive priced from $50,690, followed by the VZ front-wheel drive from $53,790. The VZe is hybrid and front-wheel drive and starts at $60,990, while the range-topping VZx has a starting price of $61,990. All prices exclude on-road costs. 

Is the Cupra Formentor petrol?

Yes. The Cupra Formentor is offered with a choice of petrol engines that range in size from 1.4-litre to 2.0-litre with a turbocharged four-cylinder. The Cupra Formentor is also available in hybrid form but not in a diesel. 



What are the dimensions of the Cupra Formentor?

The Cupra Formentor sits in the medium SUV category. It’s 4450mm long, 1839mm wide, 1511mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2680mm.

How big is the boot in the Cupra Formentor?

The boot in the Cupra Formentor has a cargo capacity of 420L with the rear seats up, while the hybrid version is smaller at 345L. 

How big is the screen in the Cupra Formentor?

Every Cupra Formentor in the range comes equipped with a 12.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and satellite navigation. All versions also get a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. 



Is the Cupra Formentor all-wheel drive?

Two variants in the Cupra Formentor line-up are all-wheel drive, while the VZ and VZe are front-wheel drive. 

What is the warranty on the Cupra Formentor?

Like others in the Volkswagen Group, the Cupra Formentor is supported by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty. 

What does Formentor mean in English?

The Cupra Formentor is named after the Formentor Peninsula, which is on the Spanish island of Majorca.
