2024 BMW X6 price and specs: Facelifted SUV prices up $8000

The BMW X6 SUV is being upgraded with new technology, fresh looks and upgraded engines for 2024 – but with price increases of $8000 across the range.

The facelifted 2024 BMW X6 will bring a number of equipment upgrades and price rises of $8000 when it arrives in Australian showrooms between July and September 2023.

Revealed this morning, BMW has given the X6 ‘coupe’ and its X5 ‘wagon’ SUV twins under the skin a range of mid-life upgrades, headlined by cosmetic tweaks, new equipment inside the cabin and more power under the bonnet.

The changes have resulted in price increases of $8000 for all three BMW X6 variants, with the diesel xDrive 30d now priced from $140,900 plus on-road costs



BMW’s six-cylinder petrol-powered X6 xDrive 40i will start from $144,900 plus on-road costs, while the flagship X6 M50i has been replaced by the M60i, topping the range (until the X6 M arrives) with a $178,900 price tag.

As with the current X6, all 2024 variants are fitted with BMW’s M Sport pack as standard, adding equipment such as an M leather steering wheel, anthracite headliner, blue M Sport brake calipers, adaptive M suspension.

Inside, the facelifted X6 adopt’s BMW’s new twin-screen curved dashboard panel, which includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument display and 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen.



The infotainment and digital dash system runs BMW’s latest iDrive 8 operating software and features cloud-based BMW Maps navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, digital radio and support for a digital smartphone-based key.

BMW has made a number of changes to the X6’s three engines, with all three variants benefiting from a 48-volt mild-hybrid system which can develop an additional 9kW and 200Nm in certain conditions.

The BMW X6 xDrive 30d’s 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo diesel engine has been given a 15kW and 30Nm bump, now developing up to 210kW and 650Nm.



The petrol-powered xDrive 40i now benefits from a 35kW/90Nm increase to its turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine, producing 280kW and 540Nm.

The flagship BMW X6 – until the X6 M is updated – is the M60i, which retains the outgoing M50i’s 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine and 390kW/750Nm outputs.

The 2024 BMW X6 is due in Australia in the third quarter of 2023 (July to September).
