2022 Kia Cerato GT owner review
The Kia Cerato GT is a great overall package with all the tech and safety features needed in a modern car.

- Looks great
- Overall package
- Suspension is too soft for a GT
- Interior seat leather is wearing very quickly
- No manual option
- AEB needs to be redesigned
The Kia Cerato GT is a great overall package with all the tech and safety features needed in a modern car.
It's fun, does what you want when you want, looks great, and is very economical to drive in multiple situations.
Only a few things take away from the overall car. There's no manual option, finding aftermarket parts can be very hard, the AEB is something you quickly learn to turn off, defeating its purpose (almost caused a few accidents having it on actually), and the suspension has been softened too much from the previous year and makes the car feel floaty on the road.
The DCT is good for a starting point, but it still needs more development if Kia decides to keep it. I have had issues with sluggish shifting and response, but I've read online it's something the dealership can fix through its software.
Accelerator response can be strange and sluggish depending on the mode you're in, and trying to drive in sports mode steady at 40 or 50km/h is impossible with how it's set up.
